FEDAMORE GAA CLUB NOTES

The East Limerick under 21 Football A final was played in Cappamore on Sunday, December 8th. Both teams ignored the weather warnings and unfavourable conditions, serving up an exciting and very competitive football affair for the sizeable crowd in attendance.

With scores at a premium for both teams, the Bally/Fedamore amalgamation were ahead by two points at half time despite playing against a strong breeze. Both teams departed for the dressing room and when referee Kieran Flaherty resumed the game it was Oola who started the stronger. With ten minutes to go it was all level and darkness was nearly upon us. Deep into injury time, we were now leading by three points and Oola had a 21 yard free which they failed to convert for goal. The full time whistle was blown and there were joyous scenes as the players celebrated a deserved win. Congratulations to players and management on a fantastic championship and a great final. We now play Bruff in the county semi-final.

Christmas Movie – Santa visiting Fedamore

There will be a Christmas movie shown in the Community Centre on Sunday December 15th with Santa in attendance also. Doors open at 3.30pm and entry is €2. The shop will also be open in the Community Centre. All are welcome and we look forward to seeing you there.

Fedamore GAA GOAL Mile

The Annual Fedamore GAA GOAL Mile takes place on Christmas Day at 11.30am from the GAA grounds. Our coffee shop will be open and all are welcome to attend. We are delighted to be welcoming back Siobhan Walsh, CEO GOAL to Fedamore for this very worthy cause. Looking forward to seeing you all there.

Fedamore Lotto

This weeks numbers are 1, 4, 8 and 13. There was no winner of the jackpot which is now worth €10,600. The lucky dip winners of €25 each are Anthony McMahon, Deirdre O’Neill, PJ McCarthy c/o Johnny McCarthy and Gearoid O’ Callaghan. Next weeks draw is on Sunday December 15th in the Ranch. AGM

Our AGM will take place on Sunday, January 5th at 5pm in the Community Centre. Please have any motions or nominations into the secretary or chairman before Sunday December 29th. All are welcome to attend.
