DROMIN-ATHLACCA GAA CLUB NOTES

Fixtures and Results
This weekend saw our Premier Intermediate Hurlers travel to Kilmallock to take on neighbous Bruff in the 2nd Round of Lyons of Limerick County Championships. The easing of restrictions meant there was great support from both sides and what a spectacle we got! Bruff got off to a great start scoring 3 points within the first 6 minutes. An enthralling effort by our “Boys in Blue” saw them catch up and trail by a mere point by the first water break.
The determination and passion continued throughout the 2nd quarter and the sheer brilliance of David Reidy saw a score line of Dromin Athlacca 1.09 Bruff 1.10 at half time. During the 2nd half the “never say die” attitude of our players, saw us all witness a dazzling display of skill, determination and team work at its best.
By the second water break we were down a goal but hope was not lost. Our heros gave an audacious performance which saw a final scoreline of Dromin Athlacca 2.21 Bruff 2.17.
This victory was just what our club and community needed and will go down in history as one of the greatest team performances.
