DROMIN-ATHLACCA GAA CLUB NOTES
Club App
The Dromin Athlacca GAA App has been a huge success and will now officially replace the Whatsapp Group Service. This is also the platform that will now be used for paying club membership and news updates. Remember, it is necessary to be a registered member of our club to be eligible to play and
avail of club facilities tickets and other club events and draws. We are all very excited about this new app and we hope that everyone can get involved. If you wish to download this app, you must first
download Clubzapp in the app store or Google Playstore. Then search for “Dromin AthlaccaBanogue” and “join”. From there you can pick which club you want to pay membership to along with
the option of playing or non playing member. If anyone has any queries, please contact any committee member or the clubs social media pages. There are step by step video instructions
available from coaches for anyone who may like. From May 7th, WhatsApp will cease to be used within the club and all club information will be available on Clubzap only.
Allianz League
Last Saturday saw our Limerick Senior Hurlers take on Tipperary in the first round of the Allianz National Hurling League. What a joy it was to see our boys in green perform in the first competitive game in 137 days. We must pay homage to our very own David Reidy who gave a valiant performance on the day scoring 8 points with 6 of these from frees. The last of which resulted in a drawn game. We look forward to round 2 of the Allianz National Hurling League when Limerick travel to Salthill on Sunday May 16th to face Galway. Throw in at 3.45pm. Limerick Senior Footballers will also be in action next weekend when they face Tipperary in the opening round of the Allianz Football League in LIT Gaelic Grounds at 5pm.
Best of luck to all.
Road Hurling Competition
It is with great joy that we can announce that the 1st Ann Kenny Road Hurling Tournament is planned to take place on Monday June 7th. This event was initially planned to take place on January 3rd but due to COVID 19 restrictions it had to be rescheduled. This will be a fantastic day out for the family with opportunity for people of all ages to participate. The Kenny family have always been tremendous supports of the Dromin Athlacca GAA club and we are delighted to honour the memory of the remarkable Ann Kenny.

We are all excited that the COVID 19 restrictions are easing again this week which will see our Adult Teams return to training.
