U12 Hurling Notes
On Thursday night last our U12 hurlers played their first league game in Dromcollogher against Templeglantine. We were very tight on numbers on the night with the minimum of thirteen players. These players can be very proud of themselves with the way they performed on the night. From our goalkeeper to our forwards worked extremely hard with their hooking and blocking, with some great line-cuts and free-taking. There was some excellent striking on the night by both teams. This was a great game of hurling over all with both teams not giving an inch. At the end of the game there was only a puck of a ball between the sides on a scoreline of Templeglantine 1-5 Dromcollogher/Broadford 1-2. These players deserve more recognition playing these games the least the board should do is supply a neutral referee. Full credit to all the players who gave a 110 percent. The line-out was as follows O. Shanahan, R. Jefferies, O. Broderick (captain), A. O’Dell, R. O’Dell, S. O’Flynn, S. Browne, A. O’Kelly, D. Fealy, G. Farrell, J. Lenihan, D O’Connell, T O’Flynn. A big thanks to Emma for doing first aid and well done to all our loyal supporters.
Best of Luck
