This was a game of two halves with Dromcollogher/ Broadford leading at the break by 1-4 to 0-3 with our goal coming from Michael Brosnan and then in the second half St. Kieran’s took over the scoring by 11 points to only two points before coming from frees from Derry McCarthy, the above club would like to thank the Management team of James Noonan, Mike Boyce, Colm Meaney, Ben Noonan and Adrian Cahill and the panel of players lead by Damien Burke Captain. The above club would like to thank the supporters that travelled to the game in Newcastle west on last Saturday week.
Kevin Noonan of Dromcollogher/ Broadford and Johnny McCarty of St. Kieran’s exchanged points and then Michéal Brosnan of Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the first and only goal of the game with 11 minutes gone in the game. Derry McCarthy of Dromcollogher/ Broadford and Ian Mackessy of St. Kieran’s exchanged points and then Keith Lacey and Johnny McCarthy of St. Kieran’s exchanged points. Derry McCarthy of Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the last point of the half just before the break to leave four points between the sides. To leave the score at half-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford 1-4 to St. Kieran’s 0-3.
St. Kieran’s scored the first nine points without reply from Dromcollogher/ Broadford and with three of these points came from Ian Mackessy, two from Cillian Ambrose and the other points came from Anthony Molyneaux, Darragh Tracey, Donie Nolan and Eoin McEnery to leave five points between the sides and then Derry McCarthy scored the next two pointed frees for Dromcollogher/ Broadford to leave three 3 points between the sides. St. Kieran’s scored the last two points to secure victory by five points and these points came from Ian Mackessy and Eoin McEnery. To leave the score at full-time St. Kieran’s 0-14 to Dromcollogher/ Broadford 1-6.

This was one sides game with Askeaton being slightly the better team on the night with our goal coming from Brian Stack in the first half of the game.
Jack Shanahan scored the first point of the game for Dromcollogher/ Broadford and then Askeaton scored their first goal of the game with 3 minutes gone in the game to lead by two points. Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next two points to bring sides back on level terms for the first time during the game and these points came from Jack Pierce and Tommy Ryan and then Askeaton scored the next four points to lead by four points. Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next 1-2 of the game to lead by a point with the goal coming from Declan Stack with 13 minutes gone in the game and the points coming from Tommy Ryan and Kenny Lynch and then Askeaton scored the last four points of the half to lead by three points at the break. To leave the score at half-time Askeaton 1-8 to Dromcollogher/ Broadford 1-5.
Askeaton scored the next first thee points of the second half to leave six points between the sides and then Tommy Ryan scored the next point for Dromcollogher/ Broadford to leave five points between the sides. Askeaton scored the next two points to lead by seven points and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the three points, and these points came from Brian O’Callaghan, Lee Foley and Brian Stack to leave four points between the sides. Weeding Bells
To Elaine McLoughlin, Knocktoosh, Broadford and Michael O’Sullivan, Kells, Dromcollogher newly married couple since last Saturday they get married in Dromcollogher Church and the reception was in the Woodlands House Hotel, Adare. Michael plays both Junior Hurling and Intermediate Football with club. The above once again would congratulate the newly married couple Michael and Elaine O’Sullivan.
Dromcollogher/ Broadford GAA Annual Christmas Draw
Dromcollogher/Broadford GAA have this week launched their Annual Christmas Draw.
The total prize money for this draw is €3000. Three draws will take place December starting on Sunday the 18th of December. The success of this draw is vital for the club to pay our 2022 expenses and start 2023 on a good footing. Your support as always is very much appreciated.
