On a cold and blustery evening in Dromcollogher, our Junior B side suffered their first defeat of their league campaign as Knockaderry finished strongly to pull clear in the final quarter. In a very competitively played game, Knockaderry made a fast start racing into a 3point lead after 5 minutes. Dromcollogher/Broadford did well to respond with 2 frees from Thomas Fitzgerald, whose free taking was excellent all night in tough conditions, putting us back into the game. Knockaderry responded with a point before Killian Cahill got on the end of a good move to knock over a classy score. Knockaderry added two more points before another Fitzgerald free kept Dromcollogher/Broadford in touch. 3 further Knockaderry points with only one long-range Thomas Fitzgerald free to reply left us 4 points down at half time 0-9 to 0-5.
Dromcollogher/Broadford bounced out of the gate at the start of the second half where an excellent score from half-forward Sean Ryan was followed by two more Fitzgerald frees to put us within a point. Knockaderry wrestled back control with 4 unanswered scores which could have been more only for some excellent defending from our back line especially our full back line who combined for a few key interventions. Another Thomas Fitzgerald free got us within 3 as he continued his perfect shooting night. His final free kept us in touch before our opponents finished well with the final three scores to push their lead out to a comfortable 8 point win. Although disappointing it was another useful workout for the side before championship and leaves us in 4th place in the 8 teams league at this early stage.

The following are the Results of the Lotto Draw that took place on the 11-04-22, and the numbers were: 13, 16, 19, 27 There was no winner of Jackpot at €6,100 and there also was two winners of Match three at €100 and they each got €50, and they were: Adrian and Patricia Leahy and Kieran Ryan, Dromcollogher, the Lucky Dips at €50 each were: Brian Noonan, Dromcollogher and Frank Noonan and the next draw will take place on this coming Tuesday 20-04-2022, in the GAA Field, Dromcollogher and the Jackpot is going up to €6,200 and the Match Three will be staying at €100.
