DEATH OF FORMER LIMERICK HURLER

The death occurred on this Tuesday 5th.May in Dublin of James (Jimmy) O’Donoghue late of Cappamore.
James played with the Limerick Senior Hurling team that won the 1946/47 National Hurling League Final that defeated Kilkenny in a replay by 3.08 to 1.07 in Croke Park

The death has occurred of James (Jimmy) O’Donoghue in his 93rd year. (late of North Road, Finglas and Cappamore, Co. Limerick) Unexpectedly, but peacefully, at James Connolly Memorial Hospital, Blanchardstown. Jimmy will be deeply missed by his loving wife Phil, daughter Aileen, sons Gerard, John, Michael, and Jim, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, and his brother John, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Predeceased by his wife Bridie, his brothers Paddy and Timmy and his sister Margaret.
