Junior A Football:Last Saturday we played Monagea in the county semifinal in Feenagh. We started against the breeze and had a decnet start working the ball up the field putting ourselves in good positions to score however our final ball and decision making left us down thus leaving a number of scorable chances after us. We were ahead by 3 points after 20mins when Monagea hit a long ball into an unmarked player who passed across our goal and they finished to the net. We were dominating possession and managed a couple of more scores before half time but Monagea stayed in touch leaving it 1.05 to 1.03at half time with Dan Lucey scoring the goal from a penalty. The second half produced a very tight battle with both sides probing each other for openings. We were sloppy at times turning over the ball thus giving Monagea confidence. Our use of the ball was poor and this allowed Monagea to grow further into the game hitting Croom on the counter attack and they scored a break away goal with 10mins left to put them ahead by a point first the first time. Frustration was the number one emotion at the time, but a few switches and better use of the ball in front of goal brought us the scores that finally got us over the line on a final scoreline of 1.13 to 2.08 with Dan Lucey scoring 1.06. Thanks to all the supporters who travelled back to Feenagh on the day and we look forward to your support in the final. We are into our second county final in 3 years, this time playing the winners of Kilteely/Dromkeen and Monaleen in Bruff on Saturday November 2nd.Well done and thanks to Feenagh GAA Club for their innovative raised area within their stand which makes viewing so much easier and pleasurable for Wheelchair user and those with mobility difficulties.

Minor A Football:Last week we played Daithi Brouders (Drom/Broadford/Feenagh/Kilmeedy) in the county semifinal in Mick Neville Park. This was a great performance by the South champions who produced a very good attacking display with lots of energy. This was a better performance than the South final to the delight of the large travelling support. The final score was 3.10 to 2.04 and we meet Adare in the county final on Tuesday November 5th 7.30pm in Mick Neville Park. With two county finals to look forward to, we are urging all locals and supporters to decorate their street, road, estate, or house with blue and white. See you all at the finals!

Lastly a big thank you to the coaches Trevor, Stephen, and Seamai, and all the parents who stepped in and helped out during the year, especially Liam and Theresa.
