Junior A Football:
This Saturday we play Ballybrown in the county quarter final in Adare at 3.30pm. We have had a decent season so far, winning the South league and topping the group in the championship. However this is knock out football and we must be at our best to win. We appeal to all supporters to please come along and cheer on the team.
Minor Football:
Our Minor footballers play St. Johns (Hospital/Herbertstown/Kilteely/Dromkeen) in the South A final this Wednesday at 6.45pm in Martinstown. Daithi Brouders await the winners in the county semifinal at the weekend.
U10s:
Last Sunday our U10 hurlers took part in a tournament in Ballyhea, Co. Cork. We played 3 competetive games in the group against Blarney, Newtown, and Carrigaline. They then finished the day with a match against Fermoy. Hurling training continues this Thursday at 6.30pm.
U8s:
No training this week, but will have hurling training next Friday October 18th at 6.45pm on the 4G.
U6s:
Football training this Thursday at 6.15pm (Note earlier time to maximise daylight).
S&C Programme:
Last Friday, we held the first night of our Winter S&C programme. This programme forms part of the Club Development Plan Coaching and Games recommendations. James O’Leary is our S&C coach and we are delighted to have him on board. All 13-17 year old players in the club have been invited to partake and we had a strong attendance. The players were tested on a number of parameters, then James demonstrated movement and flexibility exercises before going through the individual S&C programme the players will do for the next month. James will come out to Croom once a month until March to test and monitor progress. Thanks to Stephen and PJ for organising, to the coaches for helping, and to the parents for showing their support. This is a fantastic opportunity for the players and we are very positive after a great start.
