CROOM GAA CLUB NOTES

Intermediate Hurling:
All roads lead to Bruff this Sunday for the county semifinal v Newcastle West at 2.45pm. We have been looking forward to this for the last few weeks and training hard. Although we beat them in the goup phase in April, this will be a different team we face on the back of their massive win over Effin in their quarter final, they seem to be going well. We hope as many club members, friends, families, and supporters can make their way to Bruff and wear as much blue and white, and make as much noise as possible to help the team get into the county final. Croom Abu!
Junior A Football:
We play Monagea in the county quarter final on Saturday October 5th at 4pm in Feenagh.
Minors:
On Monday last we were to play Kilmallock in the South B hurling championship play off. See Facebook for the result. We play St. Johns in the South A football final, fixture TBC.
U16 Hurling:
We play Adare in the shield final this Sunday in Mick Neville Park at 12noon. Please come along and cheer on the lads.
U14 Hurling:
Congratulations to our fantastic U14 hurlers who beat St. Kierans in the shield final last Sunday morning in Mick Neville Park. We won on a scoreline of 1.09 to 2.05 after extra time. This team and management have put in a huge effort since the start of January preparing for the Feile and then the county chamionship. Its great to have finished the season on a high and we look forward to following these players in the years to come. Thank you to the players, the management team of Aidan Mangan, Tom Enright, Christy Daly, and Matty Daly, and all the parents and supporters who followed them all year.
U12s:
Congratulations to our U12 footballers who won their end of year championship last Saturday beating Mountcollins in the semifinal and Knockainy in the final. Thank you to Suzanne Malone, Pat Carey, and also to John Dunworth who coached the team this year. We now look forward to the U12 final this coming week, fixture TBC, see Facebook for details.
