CRECORA/MANISTER GAA CLUB NOTES

JUNIOR HURLING:
Our junior hurlers continued their 100% start to the championship with a battling 2-17 to 3-10 win over Old Christians last Sunday. Down a number of key players through injuries etc, we got off to a poor start and the concession of two first half goals had us down 2-5 to 0-6 points at half time. However we managed to come out on top in the second half with a late 1-1 from Tomás Connolly enough to get us over the line. Darach Skelly, James Conheady, Karl Moloney, Niall Moloney and Ian Donohue all chipped in with fine scores and Pádraig Byrnes, Steven Donohue and Dónal Murray did well in defence. Team: Stephen Keating; Pádraig Byrnes, Niall Moloney, Dónal Murray; Cian Leahy, Steven Donohue, Conor Burke; Tim Moloney, Karl Moloney; Ian Donohue, Tomás Connolly, Darach Skelly; Conor Kirby, Richard Murphy, James Conheady. Shane O’Connell, Liam Quirke, Ciarán Humphreys, Seán Keyes, Dom O’Connor, Brendan Power, Donnacha Connolly, Thomas Shanahan. Next up in championship is Patrickswell on the weekend of the 6th/7th July.
