CRECORA/MANISTER GAA CLUB NOTES
JUNIOR HURLERS:
Our junior hurlers have a busy week this week with an all county league game against Askeaton in Crecora on Bank Holiday Monday 3rd June at 7.30pm followed by round 2 of the City junior championship against Ballybrown this Saturday 8th June at 7pm in Mungret. All support welcome.
UNDER 14:
Our under 14 hurlers narrowly went down to Kildimo-Pallaskenry last Wednesday on a 3-6 to 3-3 scoreline. Meanwhile the footballers suffered a heavy 6-15 to 2-1 defeat to a strong Claughaun side. They have a week’s break before football and hurling matches against Knockainey and Killacolla Gaels respectively the following week.
EXAMS:
Best of luck to all club players who will start their Leaving Cert and Junior Cert exams on Wednesday. Go n-éirí an t-ádh libh.
TESCO COMMUNITY FUND: Crecora Manister GAA Club have been selected as a beneficiary for the Tesco Community Fund in the Tesco store in the Crescent Shopping Centre, Dooradoyle. For May and June when shopping in Tesco Dooradoyle please put the blue token into the Crecora Manister GAA tube. At the end of the eight weeks, the tokens will be weighted per each of the three causes and the €1,000 will be divided up accordingly. Please support.
KELLOGG’S CÚL CAMP: Registration forms for this year’s Kellogg’s Cúl Camp which will take place from 1st to the 4th July and the registration form can be downloaded from the club’s website.
LIMERICK MINORS:
Best wishes to Cathal O’Neill, Rory Hannon and the rest of the Limerick minor hurling team as they face Clare next Sunday 9th May in the Gaelic Grounds in the third round of the Munster minor championship. They currently sit on two points from two games after draws with Cork and Waterford.
