CLUB LIMERICK (DUBLIN) NOTES
The 24th Annual Club Limerick Golf Classic was another great success. The event was managed superbly by Tom Cotter at Edmondstown GC. Tom was ably assisted by Pat Nash, Michael Fitzgerald, John Keating, David Reale, Paddy O’Brien, Ollie Mann, Paul Stapleton and Harry Keane.
The winning team was Sports Surgery Clinic, Santry, Dublin (Paul O’Grady, Fiachra O’Connor, Gerry White), just ahead of Fagans Pub, Drumcondra with The Blue Haven, Ballyroan in 3rd spot. Willie Ryan won the nearest the pin with the Front 9 – Club Limerick and Back 9 – Pat McCarthy.
Tom says Jump for James’s
The club was delighted to see CEO Red Cow Moran Hotel, Tom Moran and his son Tommy at the presentation of prizes in Morilles in Rathfarnham. Paul Stapleton announced at the event that on 2 June 2019 to mark the 3rd anniversary of his near-fatal brain injury, Tom will abseil the 9 storey extension at the Red Cow Moran Hotel. Tom’s goal is to help the hospital that helped him. His aim is to raise €200k to build a dedicated Brain Disease Resource & Research Centre at St. James’s Hospital. Championship Preview Lunch
Club Limerick Dublin is delighted to announce the line-up for this year’s Championship Preview Lunch event, which takes place at the Red Cow Moran Hotel on Friday May 17th. This year’s event will feature Michael Duignan leading a panel discussion with Ciaran Carey (Patrickswell manager), Eddie Brennan (Laois manager), Ken McGrath, & Ursula Jacob. And we will have some other special appearances and plenty of craic courtesy of Tierney Talks! So don’t delay in confirming a booking. Its €1,000 for a corporate sponsorship which includes a Table of 10, and we have a special individual rate of €60/person for Club Limerick Dublin members.
