U14 Camogie League
23 April 2019
Cappamore 7-4 vs 4-0 Granagh/Ballingarry
Having lost our first league game to Adare on 2 April, it was great to get back to winning ways in our last two outings. Firstly a challenge match vs Newport on 16 April at home. A challenge game always gives the opportunity to change players positions and take a few risks. Some of the moves worked, others didn’t. In a close game we won on a scoreline of 4-3 to 1-4. This set us up nicely prepared for our second league game vs Granagh Ballingarry at home 23 April. With a good home support to cheer us on, the girls put in huge effort and we took control of the game from the start. The hooking, blocking, defence and the link play in attack was impressive by the girls, a great win, final score 7-4 to 4-0.
Team/Panel: Eimear Gill, Megan Ryan, Orla Lynch, Aoife Blackwell, Ciara O’Dwyer, Fiona O’Malley, Caolinn O’Donovan, Niamh Mulcahy, Aoibhe Rodahan, Hannah Dillon, Rachel Caher, Sally Hayes, Erin Ryan, Ciara O’Carroll, Aine Dillon, Teagan Ryan, Jane Keating, Abigail Mockett, Abbi Cosgrove.

U14 Football Division 2 A
24 April 2019
Cappamore 2-5 vs 3-4 Claughaun
We suffered a narrow defeat to Claughaun in the first round of our football championship last Wednesday evening in Cappamore. Trailing by 2 points at half time we regrouped and took the lead early in the second half. Claughaun scored a late goal to take the lead and we were very unlucky not to win with the last play of the game. A great run through the heart of the Claughaun defense by Michael Ryan ended up with the ball shaving the wrong side of the post. Well done to our lads on a good performance. Next up is a trip to Ballybrown on Friday May 3rd at 6.30 for the round 2 of our hurling championship.
