CAHERLINE GAA CLUB NOTES
CLUB LOTTO: No jackpot winner – numbers drawn were 7, 17, 26 & 28. Lucky dip winners were Pat Wixted, Anthony Fenton, Carmel Gleeson, Mike Gleeson & Kit O’Mahony. Next week’s jackpot will be €2,800 and the draw will be held on Friday night via Facebook Live. As always, we appreciate everyone’s support.
U-15 HURLING: Hurling is a game of inches they say and in the dying minutes of the game played on August 2nd, a few inches to the right would have won us the game instead of it slipping left of the post! But credit to the lads, they hurled well all night, it just wasn’t to be on the night. Final score Pallasgreen 2-09 Caherline 2-07.
U-13 HURLING: A slow start probably caught us out in the game against South Liberties last Thursday night, but very proud of the fight the lads showed in that last quarter. Final score, South Liberties 4-03 Caherline 2-06.
FIXTURES: The Phil Power Cup game from 2020 that we had to defer because of Covid restrictions will be played on Monday August 9th in Caherconlish, throw-in at 7pm. On Friday August 13th, our U-19’s welcome Ballybricken to Caherconlish, throw-in there at 7pm. Very best of luck to all teams.
ALL IRELAND FINAL: All at Caherline Gaa would like to congratulate the Limerick Hurling team on their semi-final success last Saturday. It looked like a few of us might miss the game with the delays on the M7, but thankfully we got their to witness a great win. Roll on August 22nd !
