BUSY WEEKEND FOR LIMERICK SENIOR TEAMS :
A very busy weekend ahead for Limerick with two games in Allianz League and Munster Hurling Championship.
On this Saturday 24th. October, the Senior Football team make the long journey to Markievicz Park in Sligo to play the home side in Division Four Allianz Football League Round 7 game at 2pm, the prize on offer is different for both sides, a win for the visitors would ensure promotion to Division Three 3 for 2021, while a win for the home side could give them a place in contention for promotion depending on other results. The last time Limerick played in Markievicz Park was in 2016 in a Division Three encounter when the home side scored a 3.10 to 1.12 win to send Limerick down to Division Four. That result could be reversed on Saturday and propel Limerick back to Division Three,
(If as reported, Waterford concedeto Antrim a win for Sligo over Limerick would be of no value as Antrim would be on nine points)
On Sunday 25th. October, Limerick Senior Hurlers go out in defence of two titles when they play Clare in Semple Stadium Thurles with a 3.45pm throw (Live on RTE 2) The game is a Quarter Final game in the Munster Senior Hurling Championship and also Allianz Hurling League Division 1 Final. A very interesting game is in prospect in what is a local derby, let’s hope Limerick will be victors and march on to a Munster Semi Final with Tipperary in Pairc Ui Caoimh on Sunday 1st. November
