Sympathy:
Last Thursday night we lost a great clubman but more importantly a great friend, Eamon Butler, RIP. This very sad news has rocked and deeply saddened all of us in Bruff GAA club. Eamon was a fantastic man, who loved all things GAA. Prior to moving to Bruff he had a very successful playing career with Old Christians. Since he moved to the parish he immersed himself in Bruff GAA and Camogie. He was heavily involved with Bord na nÓg and was chairman for many years. The work he did with our underage is reflective of how strong our club is now, culminating with our u19 success this year. He was a very active member of senior club committees, and had a great vision and direction for the club. Eamon was also very much involved with Bruff Camogie and was the clubs chairperson over the last number of years. Again his vision and work in strengthening the relationship between the GAA and Camogie club will never be forgotten. There is so much we need to say and we have so many stories to tell but for now our thoughts are with his family, his devoted wife, Colette and his lovely children Eva, Darragh, Megan and Nicole. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
