BLACKROCK GAA CLUB NOTES
It was a very productive and rewarding night last Thursday at the RTE sports awards 2020. Congratulations to the Limerick Senior hurling team, winning the team of the year, John Kiely, winning Manager of the year and Oisin O’Callaghan, winning young sports person of the year. We are delighted that Limerick has been shown in such a good light. Well done to everyone involved.
Next up will be the All Stars where hopefully some of our fourteen hurlers and one footballer will be rewarded, Gearoid Hegarty is also nominated for player of the year.
As per Government guidelines the GAA field remains closed to all activities. The walking track is open for use but for health and safety reasons dogs are not allowed. Dog faeces is very dangerous to the health of the public especially children.
Club membership remains at €40 for adults, €20 for OAP’s and students, and €20 for social membership which allows for use of the walking track. This can be paid to your local committee member when safe to do so.
The offer of membership and lotto for the year is €100 for adults and €90 for OAP’s. This is a discounted rate as we are unsure when the lotto will resume. We will resume once the current restrictions have been reduced.
