BLACKROCK GAA CLUB NOTES

Our stars of the week were our fabulous U21 hurling team who ended this years championship on Saturday putting on a fine performance against a very strong Bruff team on a score line of 0 18 to 0 14. The team were Mikey Duggan, Michael Brazill Carroll, Colm O Keeffe, Sean O’Sullivan, Declan Gilligan, Marty Farrell, Gearoid Lawlor, Aidan Gilligan, Jordan Soundy, Colm O’Neill, Jimmy Quilty, Callan Ensor, Danny Moloney, Ciaran Considine, Matty Watson, Shane O’Sullivan, Killian Lyons, James Quinn, Mark Halpin. Well done to the team and management, you did us proud over the three matches, underdogs for all three beating Killaculla Gaels and Coshlea Gaels and finally losing to a strong Bruff side. Great news for the future.

Hard luck to the u14 camogie team of Blackrock Effin losing in the feile by small margins to Ballybrown and Monaleen. Well done to Eimear O’Donovan who won the long puck at the Con and Annie Kirby sponsored dog night.

Dillon Power represented Bord na nOg in the long puck at the Con and Annie Kirby sponsored dogs on Saturday night, well done Dillon

Our dog on the night was Alien Sea, who looks like he turned into rallying star, coming second in his heat.

All roads lead back to Croke Park next Sunday where Limerick take on Waterford in the hurling league final, best of luck to all involved.
