BLACKROCK GAA CLUB NOTES

There was no winner of the club lotto held on 28th August. The numbers drawn were 2 22 28 29. The €40 went to Mary Ann Mc Donnell, Ballylanders, Promoter Post Office. The €20 went to Megan and Nora Sheehy, Glenroe, Promoter Healy’s Bar, Ciaran Fitzgerald, Thomastown, Promoter Brendan O’Brien, Chrissie O’Sullivan, Lr Main St, Promoter Chrissie O’Sullivan, Statia Cleary, West End, Kilfinane, Promoter Breda Walsh. The next lotto is in McCarthy’s bar on Wed 4th September for a jackpot of €7,400.

It has been a good week for the premier intermediate team, beating Dromin Athlacca 1 18 to 1 12. The team lined out as follows, Richard Murphy, Ian O’Brien, Richie McCarthy, Simon Hennessy, Marty Farrell, Brian Moloney, Liam Walsh, Dave Moloney, Paudie Leahy, Ruairi O’Shaughnessy, Gavin O’Loughlin, Adrian Cooke, Dylan Dawson, Kevin Palmer, Daithi Heffernan, David Healy, Nigel Hosford, Kevin Hosford, Don O’Flaherty, Barry O’Shaughnessy, Sean Palmer, David O’Flaherty, James O’Doherty, Colm O’Keeffe, Callan Ensor, Shaun Murphy, Ben Soundy, Danny Moloney, Niall Moloney, Jordan Soundy, Mikey Duggan, Vincent Herbert, Mike Heffernan.

The last match in the league stages of the competition takes place on Saturday 14th September at 3.30 in Kilmallock when we play Bruree, at which time the other 3 matches also take place. As ourselves and Bruree are equal on points the winner of this match will be in the last four. The very best of luck to our team and management who have put huge effort in training.
