BLACKROCK GAA CLUB NOTES

There was no winner of the club lotto on 21st August. The numbers drawn were 5 6 19 30. The €40 lucky dip went to John and Dave. c/o Centra. The €20 lucky dips went to Tom and Carmel Murphy, Ardpatrick Promotor Carmel Murphy, Kittty McCready, c/o Etna Promotor McGraths bar, Leslie Cregan Treada Na Ri, Promotor Brian Carey, Joan O’Dwyer Promotor Centra.

On Wed 28th the lotto will be in McGraths, for a jackpot of €7,250.

The Minors were busy this week with two wins from two on Tuesday 20th V Killacolla Gaels winning on a scoreline of 4 14 to 4 13 in Ballyagran. On Sunday in Kilfinane the minors had a great win over former team mates Coshlea Gaels on a score line of 3 14 to 1 15. The team as follows Brian Hennessy Michael Brazzill Carroll Paudraig Bourke Gavin Ryan Sean O’Sullivan Declan Gilligan Mark Duggan Jimmy Quilty Shane O’Sullivan Sean O’Neill Ciaran Considine Aidan Gilligan Danny Moloney Colm O’Keeffe Killian Aherne, Niall Fitzgerald James Quinn Robbie O’Keeffe Conor O’Leary Killian Byrnes . Well done to the players and management. There will now be a three way play off with Bruff and Coshlea Gaels.

A very successful golf classic was held over Friday and Saturday with over 30 teams taking part. The 2019 classic was won by Limerick Senior Hurlers Richie McCarthy, Barry Nash and Barry Murphy. Well done to all who participated.

First prize in the raffle –a Samsung tablet was won by Theresa Carroll, second prize of a Spa day for two people went to Kallib Dawson, and third prize of a Centra Hamper went to Dave Healy.
