Junior B Hurling: On Friday evening the lads were at home to Ballybrowne in the City/East Junior B hurling league. With both teams level on top of the group with Fedamore going into the game there was a lot to play for. The game started brightly with both teams trading points in the opening minutes. Scores from Colm teefy, Adam McCarthy and Jason Cross gave the lads a bit of breathing room until Ballybrowne pulled themselves back into it and bally lead 6 points to 5 at the water break. Ballybrowne came out of the water break looking lively and buried a goal to put them in the lead. This was shortly followed by another well taken Ballybrowne goal. Dylan Conway got a beautiful point before half time which saw Ballybrowne lead 2:06 to 0:07. The Ballybricken management made some had decisions at half time making three substitutes but these decisions paid off as the lads came out all fired up taking two lovely points before Seamus Burke got on the end of a high ball to bury it in the back of the Ballybrowne net. Not to be outdone by Seamus, Sean Browne won the b all on his own half back line before breaking forward and scoring a monster of a point. Jason Cross too getting in on the act showing some lovely skill to rise the ball with his boot whilst on the run. Colm Teefy with another well taken point from play put us two ahed, but Ballybrowne were not for beating and got two points late on leaving it a draw game of 1:11 to 2:07. Some excellent hurling for both sides, showing exactly how competitvie the Junior B championship is this year. The team on the night was John Casey, Hughie Lenord, Eoin Lyons, James Flannery, Adrian Lennon, Sean Browne, Larry Browne, Adam MCCarthy, Jason Cross, Aaron O’Brien, Aidan Power Tommy Carroll, Dylan Conway, Colm Teefy, Jamie O’Donoghue.
