Well done to Adelle
Huge congratulations to Adelle O’Sullivan who won first prize in the Scór solo singing competition in Cashel on Sunday. Adelle will now go on to represent Athea/Limerick/Munster in the Scór finals on May 1st in Killarney. This is Limerick’s first Munster Scór na nóg title in any discipline since 2012.
Intermediate League
Athea were beaten by Abbeyfeale on a scoreline of 2-10 to 1-09 in Athea in wet conditions in Athea on Monday evening last. Athea’s next match will be against Glin on April 23rd.
U13 Hurlers
Our U13 Athea Hurling team lined out for their first game of the season against Belville Gaels in Feenagh on Thursday evening last. Great game and experience, well done all.
U15 Shannon Gaels Athea
Shannon Gaels Athea came out on top against Newcastle West on Monday evening last, winning on a scoreline of 2-10 to 2-02.
U19 Shannon Gaels Athea
We are in a group with Ballylanders, Ballysteen and Adare.
Our first game is on Friday May 6th away to Ballylanders, followed by two home games on Friday June 24th v Ballysteen and Friday July 8th v Adare

Well done to Grace Hunt who was part of the Limerick U14 team that beat Tipperary to claim the Munster B Championship Saturday in Mallow.
Hard luck to Limerick Ladies on their Div 4 final loss to Offaly in Birr last Sunday. The club was represented by Rebekah Daly, Noelle Curtain and Sarah O’Connor.
