Athea GAA Club Notes:

GAA World Games:
Congrats to Denis Greaney who recently represented the Middle East in the GAA World games which were held in Derry. Denis has spent a number of years in Abu Dhabi teaching. This year he was selected to represent the Middle East in the tournament where his team played five game, winning four to reach the Open Mens Final where they were beaten by Australasia on a scoreline of 3-7 to 1-5.
It is great to have Denis back with Athea with the team where this leadership skills and determination will drive on the team for the remaining matches.

All Ireland Final:
Best of luck to the limerick ladies as they play Down in the Junior All Ireland in Croke Park at 11.45 on Sunday.
The club is delighted to send a bus of enthusiastic supporters to get behind the team on the day.

Split the Bucket:
Congratulations to Mike Ahern, Garrygloss who was last week’s Split the Bucket winner, going home with €328. The next draw will take place on Monday August 14th Envelopes can be purchased at Brown Joes, Dick Whites, Collins Shop, O’ Riordan’s Pharmacy, Batts , Athea Credit Union, Bingo at Con Colbert Hall on Friday nights, Moloneys Daybreak, Carrigkerry, and during events at Pairc na nGael. Thanks to everyone for your continued support.

Club Development Draw:
Tickets are now on Sale for the Athea GAA Club Development Draw. This year, the top prize each month will be an amazing €1,000! Total prize fund is €7,200. Funds raised from this draw will go towards Development Projects including improvements to the carpark and training pitches. Tickets are priced at €50 and can be purchased from any of our sellers, or online through Club Force. The link for Club Force is on our social media pages.
