Club Lotto

A reminder that the 2019 Ahane GAA Club Lotto is available for all to join. The lotto is an essential means of raising funds to help run your GAA club. The cash prizes are very attractive and your contribution are greatly appreciated and valued and without which, the club cannot exist. We urge you to re-join the club lotto again this year and also to actively encourage friends, neighbours and relations to join and support.

U14 Hurlers (Photograph below))

Dan Morrissey took time out of his busy schedule this week to lead the U14 hurling training session at Mackey Park. All the players thoroughly enjoyed the excellent training / ball-wall session and they got to wish Dan all the very best in the Hurling League final in Croke Park. The mentors, which includes Dan’s senior club teammater Evan Enright, appreciated the very beneficial coaching and Dan was kind enough to host a question and answer session with the players after the training which was very well received by the U14 squad ahead of the upcoming Feile Hurling campaign. The players also asked Dan to wish his brother Tom and all the Limerick hurlers well in Croke Park against Waterford with many of the boys travelling to Dublin to roar on the Limerick team.

Limerick – 2019 Hurling League Champions

Well done and congrats to the Limerick Seniors players and mentors as they picked up some more silverware, this time adding a League trophy to the coffers for the first time since 2007.

Once again, it was great to see Ahane’s Dan and Tom Morrissey playing so well on such a strong and exciting Limerick side. We’ve grown accustomed to expecting and seeing this Limerick side winning but huge credit must go to the group involved for the work they are putting in behind the scenes and retaining that keen hunger for excellence and success.

Attention now will turn to the club scene and for Tom and Dan, Ahane will look forward to having them bring their high standards as they prepare for their first round game against neighbours Monaleen on 12th April.
