AHANE GAA CLUB NOTES
East Intermediate Hurling League Round 4
Ahane travelled to Doon on a very warm Friday evening to play their rescheduled round four league game. Doon started the stronger and would remain that way for most of the game. Ahane got most of their first half points from Johnny Meskell. They got their first point from play in the 8th minute after Doon scored three unanswered points. Conor Morrissey scored a monster of a point from midfield to bring the gap back to one, but Doon never let them get closer than a point to them. Scores at the first water break were Ahane 0-04 Doon 0-06. The second quarter was played in a similar fashion to the first one, with Doon starting the quickest. We only got one point in the fifteen minutes, and it was from Johnny Meskell. Half time score Ahane 0-05 Doon 0-09.
Ahane made a better start to the second half with conditions still being unbelievably warm. Johnny got two points before Doon got some good scores of their own. Doon had a goal chance but it went wide. Second half water break saw the scores as Ahane 0-08 Doon 0-11. Doon got another point from a free before they were awarded a penalty that they slotted into the top corner to bring the gap to seven. Mark Hickey would score Ahane’s final two points. Full time score in Doon was Ahane 0-10 Doon 1-12.

Ahane GAA Club Golf Classic
We are two weeks out from our Annual Golf Classic! There are only a few tee times left. There are no tee times left on Thursday and on Friday we have eight tee times left.

Club Lotto
You can now enter our Lotto for 2021 online through the link here https://www.ahanegaa.ie/products. There are 10 draws with the jackpot starting at €5,500 and increasing by €500 each month to €10,000 in December. You can join the Club Lotto for €120 and you can join the CLUB Limerick Lotto and the Club Lotto for €170. We will also have our members draw with the 1st prize being €200, 2nd prize €150 and the remaining 8 prizes €120. The Club Lotto is our biggest annual fundraiser, and it helps to keep the club running day to day. Without your continued support we would not be able to keep the Club running and we would not be able to develop our facilities. To those who have entered already we appreciate your support greatly!
Munster Hurling Final
Huge congratulations to Tom, Dan and the Limerick Senior Hurlers on a fantastic win in the Munster Final on Sunday over Tipperary. The lads put in a serious second half performance in seriously warm conditions. We are incredibly proud of Tom and Dan who both had unreal games!
