U21 Football Championship
Sunday saw our U21’s kick off their defence of their U21 Football title. They travelled to St Patricks to take on St Patrick’s in a repeat of last years final. The result on this occasion did not go in our favour as St Patrick’s took their goal opportunities in the first half and went in 3-05 to 0-04 ahead. The second half got underway, and we played much better football and used our possession of the ball much more to our advantage. However, despite Peter Donohoe’s goal we left ourselves with too much to do in the end. The game finished Ahane 1-06 St Patrick’s 4-09. We know go on to play Cappamore in Round 2 of the championship next Sunday in Mackey Park.
