AHANE

East Junior B Hurling Championship

On a roasting hot Thursday evening, our Junior B hurlers started their campaign against Murroe Boher in Mackey Park. They came up against a tough Murroe Boher side. We got our points from Liam O’Mara, Fergus Ahern, Ronan Reale, Evan Power, and Paul O’Connor. Our only goal of the game came from Eanna Kennedy. James Hayes played another great game in goals and Declan Fitzgerald and Mike Hayes were solid at full back and centre back.

The full-time score was Ahane 1-10 Murroe Boher 1-26.

Underage Inter County Teams

Well done to Ahane’s Liam Óg Glynn and all the U16 Limerick Football team and management who gave it their all against Roscommon on Saturday in the All Ireland U16 Championship Shield Final which Limerick narrowly lost. Liam Óg played at centre half back in this entertaining match! Great to see Ahane underage players representing their county.

Well done to Anton Donohoe and Donal Dawson who played with the Limerick. U15’s on Saturday against Wicklow in the Dermot Early Michael Glavey Shield Final. Wicklow came out on top in a competitive game played in hot conditions. We are very proud of Anton and Donal who are doing our club proud and representing their county.

U7 Football

Well done to our U7 footballers who took part in a county blitz on Saturday morning in the sunshine. They played matches against Mungret St Pauls, Monaleen, Croom and South Liberties. Many thanks to the coaches and the parents too for getting the kids there.
