On Sunday last 6th. October in LIT Gaelic Grounds A presentation was made to Michael McDonnell by John Cregan, Chairman, on behalf of Limerick County Board to acknowledge his many years of services to Limerick GAA.

Michaels  McDonnell was first elected to Limerick County Board as Assistant Secretary in 1980 . Held many positions including assistant secretary, assistant treasurer, safety officer and also worked continuously with the board on Mick Neveille park and the redevelopment of LIT Gaelic Grounds.
Michael post as Safety officer in the LIT Gaelic Grounds was most enjoyable one and one where he quotes ” I always look forward to a busy day, the bigger the day the better”.
At the presentation John Cregan said “On behalf of the County Board, I would like to thank & acknowledge the services rendered by Michael McDonnell to Limerick GAA since 1980”. Long Life & further happiness was wished to Michael & His family.
