CAHERLINE GAA CLUB NOTES
GAA LOTTO: We have a winner ! Congratulations to the €6,400 jackpot winner, Billy O’Sullivan of Caherconlish. Numbers drawn were 1, 5, 7, 10. Next weeks jackpot will be €1,500 and the draw will be held on Friday night in Lynchs Bar.
JUNIOR A HURLING: Unfortunately, the East Junior A semi-finals were called off at very short notice on Sunday morning; it’s unclear at the moment as to what’s going to happen, we’re waiting on a decision from the East Board.
MINOR HURLING: Our Minors came up against a very good Monaleen team on Tuesday, August 6th. While the early stages of the first half were even enough, Monaleen were 0-06 to 0-03 up after 15 minutes. From that point on, Monaleen got on top and hit the net 3 times, to take a half time lead of 3-10 to 0-06. We got a great start to the 2nd half, with a goal from Robbie Holmes within the first minute, but that was quickly wiped out by Monaleen 2 mins later with their 4th goal and despite our lads fighting until the end, Monaleen really drove on to take the win – final score Monaleen 7-13(34), Caherline 1-9(12). U-16 HURLING: The final round of this years U-16 Championship takes place on Monday evening against Kilpeacon in Crecora, throw in at 7pm, all support welcome.
U-10 HURLING: Our U-10’s took part in a blitz last Friday evening in Hospital, in very damp conditions! Well done to all who participated.
