Two Limerick schools learn details for Harty Cup preliminary quarter-finals:

TWO LIMERICK schools continue their 2023/24 Dr Harty Cup campaign on Wednesday afternoon with the competition at the Preliminary quarter-final stage.

John the Baptist Community School, Hospital’s reward for topping their group is a fixture against Our Lady’s Templemore in Fethard.

Hospital beat Castletroy College and pulled off a dramatic comeback to draw their second game against Carrick on Suir to and book their spot at this stage.

Castletroy join their fellow Limerick school in the Preliminary quarter-final and face Harty Cup kingpins St Flannan’s in their fixture in Meelick.

Castletroy earned victory against Carrick on Suir in the group stage, while Flannan’s finished in second place behind Árdscoil Rís in their group. Limerick’s Tadgh Boddy has starred for the Ennis school during the group stage.

Árdscoil have automatically qualified for the quarter-finals following their 100% record of three wins from three in the group stage, while Doon’s Scoil Na Trionaide Naofa did not make the knockout stages.

Both games on Wednesday in Fethard and Meelick have 1pm starts.
