ST PATRICK’S GAA CLUB NOTES
U19 Premier Football County Final:
All roads lead to Mick Neville Park this Wednesday night, when our Minor footballers will play Mungret at 6.45pm.
Two fantastic wins over 2020 finalists Newcastlewest and Fr Caseys in tough, tight encounters led this fantastic group to a deserved county final appearance.
Mungret who have progressed to the final in impressive fashion, will be strong favourites but this young St Patrick’s team led by captain Kyle Mullins have defied the odds many times and will no doubt leave everything on the field this Wednesday night.
Please support our young team, they very much deserve your backing. Throw in is 6.45pm in Mick Neville Park Rathkeale.
Junior Hurling Championship:
Our Junior hurling team bounced back to winning ways, with an impressive victory over Ahane in Caherdavin on Sunday night, in round three of the Championship. Winning by 0 27 to 08, the hurling on display was a joy to watch. Gearoid and Diarmuid Hegarty impressed around the middle third with Eoghan Hill also in fantastic scoring form on the night.
Matters are very much still in our own hands, with victory over Garryspillane and Kilteely Dromkeen needed to progress to the knockout stages. Garryspillane will be next up on Sunday Oct 3rd at 1pm.
