ST PATRICK’S GAA CLUB NOTES

County League:
Our adult hurling and football teams tasted defeat in their respective league games this week, losing out to Claughaun and Ballybrown. Alot of positives can be taken with both panels blooding numerous young players who can only benefit from these outings. It’s a big plus for all involved to have the league back this year ahead of championship later in the summer.
Underage Hurling:
Rhebogue was a hive of activity on Friday night last as our U7s and U9s had their first blitzes of the year.
Our U7s welcomed Claughaun and the U9s Kildimo/Pallaskenry, on a fantastic summer evening it was brilliant to see huge numbers in the green of St Patrick’s.
Well done to the players, parents and coaches.
The U7s travel to Patrickswell this Friday for hurling and the U9s welcome Ballinacurra to Rhebogue for a football blitz.
Our U11 Hurling team had their first outing on Wednesday against Crecora in Rhebogue.
It was fantastic to see this team back enjoying matches again and in big numbers, well done to all involved.
Praise for Covid Efforts:
Mayor of Limerick Michael Collins presented a framed scroll to Committee members this week, to thank the club for their assistance in the community during the Covid pandemic. Great work by all.
