ST PATRICK’S GAA CLUB NOTES

Return To Play:
Adult and Underage teams will return to action this week with competitive fixtures making a long awaited return.
Our U16s play their Shield County Final against Knockainey/Hospital on Tuesday at 7pm in Fedamore, on the same night our Intermediate footballers will travel to Caherdavin to play Na Piarsaigh in the City Senior League at 7.30pm.
Na Piarsaigh will also be the opposition on Saturday night for the Intermediate Hurling League with a 7.30pm throw in.
Supporters for these games are limited to 100 due to covid restrictions.
Bonus Ball Draw:
Well done to Louise Dore who has won the Bonus Ball Draw prize of €200 with the winning number 35.
A big thank you to all who supported our Bonus Ball fundraiser.
All funds raised will go directly to our underage development.
Club Presentation:
Friday night hurling welcomed a very special guest this week, as the club presented a handcrafted piece to clubman Gearoid Hegarty to mark his outstanding achievement as 2020 Hurler of the Year.
A big thank you to Robbie Kenneally of JJ Kenneally & Sons Jewellers in conjuction with Kieran Dore, on behalf of the committee, for the work on an outstanding piece to mark a remarkable achievement.
Gearoid took time to meet each group of our underage stars and offered fantastic words of advice and wisdom to our starstruck future hurlers. A wonderful role model for our underage members, who were hanging on Gearoids every word.
Vivienne Cobbe, also a St Patrick’s All Ireland winner, made the presentation to Gearoid at the end of tonight’s training.
A fantastic and memorable night in Rhebogue for all our members.
See you all next Friday from 6pm.
