ST. PATRICK’S GAA CLUB NOTES

Intermediate Football:
Two Championship games were played last week. On Tuesday night in Adare on a perfect evening for football, we gained our third win with a fifteen points to thirteen win over Rathkeale.
Well done to all involved in a vital win on the night. It was a cracking contest and the win was to guarantee a place in the knockout stages in September.
On Friday night and with a short turnaround, we travelled to Cappamore to play Bruff and did not perform to our potential on the night. A lacklustre display was to follow. Missing a number of players from the previous game and with Bruff showing a huge appetite we were second best after the hour.
With one game remaining we have reached the County Quarter Final and a win against Claughaun in the final group game will guarantee a Semi Final spot. The match has been fixed for Saturday August 24 at 6pm in Caherdavin.
