St. Kierans GAA Club Notes:

St. Kierans v Mungret/St. Pauls Saturday October 11 at Askeaton – 1pm

The group stages of the County Senior Football Championship conclude on Saturday afternoon as we take on Mungret / St. Pauls in round 5. Mungret have secured passage to the knockout stages of the championship following an emphatic round 4 victory over Ballylanders while victory for us on Saturday would ensure a return to the quarter finals for the first time since 2022. Following a disappointing loss last day out against Kildimo / Pallaskenry we will hope to recapture our earlier form which saw us defeat Galtee Gaels and Ballylanders and draw with Newcastlewest. Saturday’s game throws in at 1pm in Askeaton. We will have live match updates on our social media platforms.

St. Kierans v Camogue Rovers Sunday October 12 3.30 – Clarina

The Junior footballers conclude the group stages of the County Championship on Sunday as they take on Camogue Rovers in a table topping encounter. We go into the game currently sitting on top spot with qualification assured to the knockout stages. Victory on Sunday would assure direct passage to the County Semi-Final and avoidance of a quarter final. trailing by five points at half time in round 4 against Hospital we showed great composure late on to recover and secure a draw against the South Limerick side. We face another stern test against southern opposition on Sunday in Camogue Rovers who will also have their sights set on top spot with victory. Sundays game throws in at 3.30 in Clarina.
