St. Kierans GAA Club Notes:
St. Kierans GAA Charity Road Hurling 2024:
We are delighted to announce that our two chosen charities for the 2024 St. Kieran’s GAA Charity Road Hurling will be Milford Care Centre and Brú Columbanus. These are two fantastic organisations which provide essential services. Once again in 2024 we will follow our traditional 4km route throughout Ardagh beginning at Ardagh Church and progressing towards Skehanagh Bridge before making a left-hand turn towards Cahermoyle House. From Cahermoyle participants will make their way back to Ardagh where the course concludes at the bottom cross. We look forward to seeing you all on December 27th at 11am. Participants are asked to bring a hurley, sliotars and a high-visibility jacket.
Annual General Meeting 2024:
St. Kierans GAA Club AGM took place in Ardagh Hall on Wednesday evening last. A variety of issues were discussed during the evening by the large crowd in attendance. 2024 has been an extremely successful year both on and off the field of play with huge progress taking place in our new pitch development which we hope to begin using in March 2025. The Junior footballers capped off a remarkable two-year period by adding three trophies to the trophy cabinet by winning the County Junior ‘B’ Football League, West Junior ‘B’ Football Championship and County Junior ‘B’ Football Championship. As a result, our junior football side have secured promotion to the Junior ‘A’ ranks in 2025 and also have the honour of representing Limerick in the Munster Junior ‘B’ Football Championship in early 2025. It is becoming extremely costly to conduct club affairs, several fundraising activities took place throughout the year, and we would like to thank all of you who have organised and supported our various fundraising initiatives in 2024 in particular our Club Limerick Draw members. The Club Limerick Draw continues to be a vital source of income for the club. We have one of the largest memberships in the County and we are greatly appreciative of your continued support.
The following club officers were elected for 2025
Chairman: David Woulfe
Vice Chairman: Owen Hayes Snr
Secretary: Ivan Neary

Co. U20 ‘B’ Football Championship Semi-Final:
The U20 footballers return to championship action this weekend following their excellent victory over St. Senans three weeks ago. On Saturday afternoon we make the short journey to the Bog Garden, Rathkeale to take on the Granagh/Ballingarry – Croom combination with a place in the County Final the lucrative prize on offer for both sides. Backboned by several players with County Senior Football Championship and Junior ‘B’ Football Championship experience this season hopes are high that we can build on our last outing and put in another strong performance to secure a County Final place. In the other semi-final St. Senans take on south Limerick side Galtee Gael’s on Friday night in Na Piarsaigh GAA grounds, Caherdavin. Saturdays game throws in at 2pm. We will have live score updates on our social media platforms for those unable to attend on the day. Your support is greatly appreciated.
