County Senior Football League Round 1:
Our senior footballers get their County League campaign underway this Saturday evening when they welcome neighbours St. Senan’s to Coolcappagh. Both sides will be looking to get their respective seasons off to a winning start in preparation for the County Championship campaign. Saturday’s game throws in at 6.30 in Coolcappagh. We will have live updates throughout on our WhatsApp updates page.
Munster U20 Championship:
Sean Ryan, Craig MacInnes and Lorcan Murphy were part of the Limerick U20 panel who overcame Waterford on Monday afternoon in the Munster Quarter Final. Craig lined out in goals with Sean at half back while Lorcan was among the extended panel. Limerick’s reward for their victory on Monday in a wind swept Ballyagran is a Munster semi-final berth on Monday evening against Cork in Pairc Uí Rinn.

Dates for your Diary:
Saturday November the 11th promises to be a night full of glitz and glamour locally. The Devon Inn hotel will be the venue for the clubs long awaited Oskars night. We were to run this show in November 2020, but Covid put pay to that. Many people can’t wait to get cracking on rehearsals and learning lines from a favourite movie. There will be an information night at the end of April where much more details will be announced, we’ll start taking bookings from groups and the mini fundraisers will be discussed. 2023 promises to be an exciting year on and off the field!!!!!

West Senior Hurling League Round 1:
Adare 2.26 St. Kieran’s 0.13
The newly redeveloped pitch in Adare was the venue on Saturday evening as we got our West League campaign underway against a strong home side. The opening half was a hotly contested affair as we went toe to toe against the one of the top Senior sides in the County. At the interval we trailed by five points 1.11 to 0.9 with first half scores coming from the impressive Donie Nolan and Eoin McEnery from play, a long-range effort from Jack Harnett and four free from Ian Mackessy. As the second half progressed the home side upped the ante and began to capitalise on and punish our errors in possession and soon raced into a commanding lead which it was now going to be very difficult to recover from. At the final whistle it was the men in red and black who came away with the win but despite this there were a lot of positives we could take from the game. Making the step up from the Junior ranks in 2023 the pace is much higher but exposing ourselves to the higher level will hopefully stand to us as the league progresses and we build to the County Intermediate championship. Next up on Tuesday evening we make the short journey to Knockaderry for round 3 against the home side. Throw in at 6.30.

West Junior ‘B’ Hurling League Round 2:
St. Kieran’s 3.10 Croagh / Kilfinny 0.19
The Junior hurlers put in a strong second half performance on Thursday evening to come back from the death to secure a draw against a strong Croagh/Kilfinny side in Coolcappagh. Trailing by eight points at the interval, 0.12-0.4 three second half goals from sharpshooter Anthony Molyneaux ensured that we picked up our third point of the campaign following victory over Askeaton in Round 1.
