Intercounty Activity:
Limerick senior footballers got their National League campaign off to a flying start this past weekend with an excellent victory over Longford in the Gaelic Grounds. Darragh Treacy lined out at midfield and once again put in an industrious performance which laid the foundation for the win. Liam Kennedy was among the substitutes in what is his first season on the panel and hopefully he will see competitive action in what is a very congested league campaign with seven games in eight weeks is. Next up for Limerick is a long journey to Corrigan Park, Belfast to play against Antrim who like Limerick had an opening round victory having seen off the challenge of fellow Ulster side, Fermanagh.
