South Liberties GAA Club Notes:

Underage Academy:
Our 2025 Spring Academy is now heading into its third week and is thriving. We have great numbers attending at each age group and great to see some more volunteers getting involved as Mentors. Well done to all our players who coloured fantastic posters last week, wishing our players travelling to New York this week the best of luck. Reminder that our newly erected Shop is open every Friday for refreshments.
Local Lotto:
The local Parish Lotto is heading for €8000 so make sure to purchase your ticket in all local public premises or online on our Social Media posts and on our website.
Club Limerick Draw:
The first Club Limerick Draw will take place at the end of March so now is the time to enter for the year. It costs €100 per year and can be paid up front or €8.33 per month for 12 months. There are amazing prizes each month with the top prize of €10,000. Half your proceeds come back to South Liberties.
Junior Footballers:
We are delighted to be fielding an adult football team this year again and some or our lads had their first game last Saturday against Mungret/St. Pauls. It was a competitive game with our hosts claiming the victory 0-10 to 0-07. Good luck to our lads for the next round.
South Liberties Scarves:
We are now selling South Liberties Scarves. These are available at our Academy shop every Friday night and also can be purchased in Elm Court Service Station in Ballyneety, at a cost of €20. All profits from these scarves will go back to help in the upkeep of Dooley Park.
New York Trip:
Almost 100 of our Club members set off this Thursday February 27th to New York on a very epic and memorable trip. Our hurlers will play New York GAA on Friday evening in Gaelic Park at 8pmlocal time, 1am Irish Time. We wish all those travelling the very best of luck. For those not going, you can watch the game by clicking into the link on our social media pages or google newlogicalsports.com, who will be broadcasting the game live.

Condolences:
Last week was a very sad week for our community and Club. We wish to convey our sympathies to the families of Liam Hayes, Eamon O Neill and Eddie Wade. Many thanks to our Club stewards who helped out at all of the funerals with organising traffic control, parking and guards of honour.
