South Liberties GAA Club Notes:
Family Fun Day:
Our recent Annual Family Fun Day was extra special this year as we marked 140 years since our formation.
We had the pleasure of the President of the GAA, Jarlath Burns attend and officially open our walking track. JP and Gerry Mc Manus also joined us and paralympic medals winner Róisín Ní Ríain. It was a fantastic day and we want to thank all our volunteers for all the work done prior to the day, during the day and after.

U12:
Our U12 players had a trip recently to North Kerry. They played Ballyduff in a super game of hurling in glorious sunshine and then took a quick dip in the sea in Ballybunion. Well done to all our own organisers and to Ballyduff for their wonderful hospitality.
Club Limerick Draw:
Congratulations to Mike and Hannah Keane who won €200 in the August draw.
County Representatives:
Congratulation to Evan Ryan who played with the U16 Limerick hurlers recently and sharing the spoils with Galway in the Eugene Carey Cup. Also, to Gearoid Hickey playing with the U14 Limerick hurlers and winning the Tony Forrestal shield final against Cork.
Senior Hurlers:
Our Senior Hurlers lost out in their final game against Adare last Sunday and will now go down to contest Intermediate level for 2025. We have remained at senior level for 15 years now and we have faith that we can go back up to senior ranks soon with the level of underage lads coming through. Well done to the panel and management for all their efforts and we keep the faith.
Junior B Hurlers:
Our Junior lads took on Doon last Sunday in Boher in the East semi final. Doon got a soft early goal which set their tempo. They got another shortly after and at half time they were 6 points up and it wasn’t looking good for us. But the lads rallied and fought so hard in the second half and ran out winners on a scoreline of 4-12 to 3-10, with Sean Keane scoring all 4 goals. A brilliant effort from the whole panel. We didn’t have Declan Brosnahan on the day as he was on holidays. We had a minute’s silence before the game for Jack Fitzpatrick Dad Dave, who was part of the management team and was only buried last Friday so well done lads for this great achievement. We now contest the East Final soon.
Condolences:
Our sincere condolences to the families of the following who have passed from us recently.
Micheal Garry, Dave Fitzpatrick Jnr and Marie Hannan.
Ar Dheis Dé go raibh a n-anamacha.
