South Liberties GAA Club Notes:

Club Social Night:
Last Saturday night January 20th , Vines grill and Wine bar in Ballyneety Golf Club hosted our Club for our 2024 Social. We had many celebrations on the night, with the most momentous one being 140 since our club’s formation. Our victorious Brian Butler Cup Champions of 2023 were presented with their medals by Declan Brosnahan and David Fitzpatrick. Chairman John Godfrey also presented plaques to Honorary Life President Paddy Shanahan and also to retired trustees John Keogh and Seamus Hartigan. Barry Nash and his family were present on the night and Paddy Shanahan presented Barry with a Celtic trophy for all his recent All Ireland Successes with Limerick. These two club legends got a huge standing ovation. The whole night was a wonderful community event while everyone danced the night away to the band The Passengers.

The Parish lotto is slowly heading towards €2,500. We had one lucky dip winner last week in Michael O Brien junior. Get your ticket in any of the local public premises.
