South Liberties GAA Club Notes:
Senior Hurlers:
Our Seniors have retained Senior status for 2024, after an epic performance from the whole squad last Thursday evening in Adare against Garryspillane. An extravagant 7 goals and 13 points, where our lads proved to all and sundry, South Liberties have not gone away. Despite some serious injuries to some key players early in the year, emigration and retirements, the panel and management showed that their last execution of hurling for 2023 was worthy of our club’s eminence. The result was immeasurable, not alone for this group but for our club, our parish and our communities. We are so proud of each and every one of them. U15 Footballers:
Our U15 lads were unlucky last week in their County semi-final, when beaten by Cappagh/Rathkeale in Dooley Park. Thanks to Des Ryan and his management team for their great work all year. There is super talent in our underage groups now coming through the lines and credit to our underage academy also for helping develop all our future prospects. When these lads combine in a few years’ time, we have the potential for great things.
