South Liberties GAA Club Notes:

Junior Hurling:
Our junior hurlers continued their unbeaten streak in their latest game against Ballybrown. In a game we dominated from the start we quickly built up a lead and by half time we were leading on a score line of 3-14 to 1-3.
In fairness to Ballybrown they started the second half well and scored two goals to reduce our lead. However, the lads responded thanking some good scores to see us run out winners on a 4-25 to 3-08 score line. Special mention to Ben Compton who started his first adult game and scored 3-06 on the day.
Ben Garry, Arthur O Donnell, Enda Meaney, Michael Meaney, Matthew Gaule(0-1), Brendan Ahearne(0-1), Ben O Donoghue, Mike Keane(0-1), Shane O Neill(0-1), Darragh Godfrey(0-5), David O Neill(1-6), Joe Hegarty, Sean Keane(0-1), Barry Walsh(0-3), Ben Compton(3-6), Roan O Mahoney, Sean Enright, Cathal O Riordan, Cathal O Neill.

DIL:
Well done to the BCDA for organising a Darkness into Light walk in Ballyneety Golf Club last Saturday morning. Over 150 people showed up and they raised over €1500. This will now become an annual event and great to see all the community come together afterwards in Vines for tea, coffee and scones.

Condolences:
The club was was deeply saddened last week to hear of the passing of young Kevin Mc Auliffe. Kevin originally hailed from Crossagalla and played both hurling and football
for the club through the 80’s and 90’s at underage and adult levels. A great athlete in his day and a very popular man. We extend our condolences to his wife Catherine and daughters
Rachel and Lucy. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.
