South Liberties GAA Club Notes:
Parish Lotto:
We had no winner again last week and the jack pot is growing so make sure you have
your ticket purchased.
Well Done:
Well done to Charlie Lane and the Limerick Minor Footballers who beat Waterford in Rathkeale last Thursday evening and will now play Tipperary in the Phase 1 Final. Also,
well done to Conor Ryan and Seán Holland who played with the Limerick U16 Footballers last Saturday against Roscommon winning 3-15 to 1-05. Gerry Joyce was missing from the panel due to an injury.
Congratulations:
Congratulations to JP Mc Manus and his Pro-Am Organising Committee, who have been named “Limerick’s Persons of the Year for 2022”. This Pro-Am has raised millions of Euros for charitable causes.
Darkness into Light:
Ballyneety Community Development Association (BCDA) has invited all members of South Liberties to join them in doing their “Darkness into Light” walk this coming Saturday morning at 5.15am, starting at the Driving Range Car Park at Ballyneety Golf Club. Teas, Coffees and scones will be available afterwards in the club house. This promises to be a great community event while supporting Pieta.
Limerick Hurlers:
Hard luck to our County hurling team who were just beaten by Clare last Saturday evening in the TUS Gaelic Grounds. A fantastic display of hurling from both sides. Limerick now have a break until Sunday May 21st when they play Tipperary in Semple Stadium at 4pm. Wishing Sean Finn and Cian Lynch speedy recoveries after last Saturdays game and we also send our sympathies to the families of the man who died in the open stand during the game. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
