South Liberties GAA Club Notes:

Past Club Secretary Colin Moloney:
Apologies from the club for not having notes these past few weeks but we were devastated following the sudden death of our secretary Colin. Colin had only taken up the role 12 months ago but proved to us all how capable he was at everything and took on his role with relative ease. We send our condolences to his mother Mary, her partner Lar Grimes and his sisters Sarah and Rose. Many thanks to the Limerick Leader and Donal O Regan who wrote a lovely tribute to Colin on last weeks edition. May Colin’s soul rest in peace now.

Underage Academy:
Our academy is thriving again the last 2 weeks and will continue every Friday evening for the next four weeks. Anyone wishing to sign their kids up, can come along and speak to one of our mentors. U7 and U9 groups are 6.15 to 7pm. The U11 group are 7.10 to 8pm and the U13 group are 8 to 9pm. We are always looking for parents to volunteer in any capacity so please, if you can, make yourself known to any mentor or committee member. Our club shop is always open too.

JP Mc Manus appointment to Honorary Life President of Limerick GAA:
We would like to congratulate JP on the huge honour bestowed upon him recently at a County Board Meeting. The motion was proposed by Patrickswell and our own Mike Fitzpatrick spoke for the recommendation. JP, celebrates his 19th season as sponsor of Limerick GAA and his family’s support for our County Underage academy’s has made a huge impact to Limerick’s hurling success in recent years. We are greatful and very proud.
