Junior Football
Our junior footballers qualified for the East Junior A football final after defeating Oola in a tight game last Thursday evening. It was nip and tuck for the majority of this game with little between the sides. However our ability to convert our goal chances proved to be the difference in the end. Final score South Liberties 4-12 Oola 0-18. We now face Cappamore in the East final on a date to be decided. Before that we open our All County junior A championship round 1 game with Kilteely / Dromkeen on Friday July 26th at 7-15pm in Caherconlish.

Junior Hurling
We took on Murroe/Boher in round 3 of the east championship on Saturday evening and despite putting in a great effort we just fell short on the night. We failed to convert some good scoring chances and this resulted in Murroe/Boher’s win. As was the case in the junior football game goals win you games and Murroe/Bohers 3 goals proved the difference in the end. Final score South Liberties 0-15 Murroe/Boher 3-10. We now travel to Pallasgreen for our round 4 game on Tuesday July 23rd at 7-30pm.

It was great to have James Noonan back on the panel for the first time since his serious injury he picked up 12 months ago, welcome back James.
U14 Hurling & Football
Best of luck to our U14 hurlers and footballers(football under the Ballinacurra Gaels name) on their upcoming shield semi finals.
Our U6, 8, 10 & 12 teams are continuing along, training and playing games at the moment. All new players are still welcome just contact any of the committee for details of training times etc.
