FOIREANN WEBINARS – Update –
Due to very high demand, we will be making three of the Foireann Webinars “Microsoft Teams Live Events”. This means that the session will be largely on-way in delivery.
Participants still have the opportunity to ask a question in advance on the registration form, and are encouraged to do so.
The Live Events will be held on March 18th (7pm), 29th and 31st (both 8pm), and attendances will no longer be capped.

LIMERICK GAA 1921 COMMEMORATION and LAUNCH OF COMMEMORATIVE JERSEY 1921-2021
Well done to all in the Limerick GAA in conjunction with Limerick City and County Council who presented and excellent account of the happenings on the evening of 7th.March, 1921 when two mayor’s of Limerick, the sitting Mayor of Limerick at the time George Clancy and former Limerick Mayor Micheal O Callaghan and a volunteer were executed. Also in 1921 Limerick won the All Ireland and Bob McConkey became the first man to lift the Liam MacCarthy Cup, the All Ireland Final was not played until 4th. March 1923.
A new replica jersey was also launched which will be worn by our county team this year, check out the O’Neill’s website to order.
CLUB Limerick Draw 2021
The Club Limerick draw for 2021 is up and running…the first draw for 2021 will take place on Saturday morning, 27th. March. Log onto limerickgaa.ie/club-limerick-draw to join today, or you can contact your Club Co Ordinator.
50% of your money goes directly to your club and the other 50% goes directly to supporting the County teams. This is a great opportunity for everyone to give their support to your club and your county.
GARDA VETTING :
With the recent changes to Garda vetting renewal (now every 3 years as a result of changes in the Law )
Applications are processed as follows:
• Applicant completes basic information and submits to Limerick Garda Vetting Co Ordinator
• an email is returned to applicant with a link to complete a full application ( must be completed within 30 days)
• an email is triggered to adult club Runai informing them that applicant has applied for Garda Vetting
• once full application is completed its submitted to the Garda vetting Unit
• Garda vetting unit submits report to the GAA
• GAA decides on suitability and sends email to applicant and Club Secretary
GAA MUSEUM BOOK CLUB :
There has been a brilliant response to the launch of the GAA Museum Book Club and this week they are hosting their first live event. Michael Foley, author of ‘The Bloodied Field’ will be joining us for our virtual Q&A this Thursday at 8.30pm. The event will last approx. 45 minutes. COVID 19 LEVEL 5 RESTRICTIONS
The GAA has issued advice to all clubs and counties for activities that are permissible and not permissible in 2021 until further notice. Exception: Walkways may stay open for use by the community with social distancing in place. These restrictions will remain in place until at least 5th. April Clubs are reminded all members to continue to follow the government advice to remain at home and exercise within your 5 km.

TLC 6 ON GOOD FRIDAY It has been announced recently that TLC6 clean up will take place in some capacity this Good Friday 6th. April, in compliance with HSE restrictions. Please visit www.teamlinerickcleanup.ie to register your interest . More information will be available in the coming weeks.
