2020 ALL STARS AWARDS ON SATURDAY
The 2020 PwC GAA/GPA All Star Awards will take place on this Saturday night on RTE from 6.35pm
The Limerick senior hurlers have 14 players nominated, Nickie Quaid, Sean Finn, Dan Morrissey, Barry Nash, Diarmaid Byrnes, Declan Hannon, Kyle Hannon, Cian Lynch, William O’Donoghue, Gearoid Hegarty, Tom Morrissey, Aaron Gillane, Seamus Flanagan and Greame Mulcahy while Limerick Senior Footballer Iain Corbett is nominated for the football team. Gearoid Hegarty is also nominated Player of the year. South GAA Wish the Best of Luck to all players.
COVID 19 LEVEL 5 RESTRICTIONS
The GAA has issued advice to all clubs and counties for activities that are permissible and not permissible in 2021 until further notice. Exception: Walkways may stay open for use by the community with social distancing in place. These restrictions will remain in place until at least 5th. March Clubs are reminded all members to continue to follow the government advice to remain at home and exercise within your 5 km.

GAA MUSEUM VIRTUAL BOOK CLUB: While it’s not possible to visit the GAA Museum or its Library & Archives in person right now, you can still learn more about Gaelic Games and the history of the Association by becoming a member of their new virtual GAA Museum Book Club. Each month the GAA Museum team will choose a well-known GAA book to read and review. At the end of the month, the museum will host a free online interview with the author, in which members can submit questions and comments. The ambition of the book club is to review some of the great GAA books and to give us all a much-needed sporting boost as we stay at home.
