SOUTH GAA NOTES
Firstly we congratulate Limerick Minor and Senior Hurling Teams on winning their respective Muster Finals on Sunday last at the LIT Gaelic Grounds. We wish them every success going forward.
Round 2 of the Junior B Championship was played last weekend
The results were as follows
Dromin Athlacca 2-16 Hospital Herbertstown 1-12
Blackrock 0-16 Glenroe 1-9
Bruree 0-14 Camogue Rovers 0-16
Bruff 1-14 Croom 0-6
2 Rounds have been played in the West Jnr A Championship where the South Teams have amalgamated with the West for this competition. Castletown Ballagran and Kilmallock are in Group 1 along with Adare, Askeaton, Feenagh Kilmeedy and St Kieran’s and Staker Wallace are in Group 2 with Croagh Kilfinny, Kileedy, Monagea, Rathkeale & Templeglantine.
Castletown Ballyagran are top of the table after winning 2 matches defeating Kilmallock and Feenagh Kilmeedy. Kilmallock were defeated by Castletown Ballyagran and received a walkover from Adare.
Staker Wallace in Group 2 have been defeated by Kileedy and Croagh Kilfinny.
Minor Football Championship
One round was played in early May,
Croom had a win over Bruff,
St John’s had a win over Bangoue and
Kilacolla Gaels had a win over Galtee Gaels.
Minor Hurling Championship
The 1st game was played on Tuesday evening when Cnoc Dubh Gaels (Hospital /Herbertstown & Knockainey) defeated Glenroe 2-12 to 1-16
